3rd April 1917: Diary

Tue., Apr 3, 1917   VILLERS AU BOIS FRANCE

6 AM Weather very cold – freezing during night and slight fall of snow.
9 AM Company drills and inspection during afternoon.
2 PM Weather clear – marked aeroplane activity during afternoon and our heavy artillery in this vicinity more active than usual.
3 PM Lectures on Map Reading by respective Company Commanders.
6 PM 15 N.C.O’s and men proceeded on temporary duty to GOODMAN TUNNEL – forward area.
